GENERAL PROGRAM FAQS

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

My gym is in Uniontown, Ohio, just a short drive from the cities of Canton and Akron.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

We are open from Monday to Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m., and 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. by appointment.  We’re also open on weekends by appointment.

WHY DID YOU BEGIN WORKING AS A TRAINER?

I used to work in construction, but all that physical activity did nothing for my health because I was unmotivated and complacent.  The stress of being a new father, a husband, and a provider were causing me to neglect my body.  At 70 pounds overweight, I grew unhappy with my life but I didn’t know how to fix it.  It was just easier to ignore it.

After Hurricane Katrina, I went on a few mission trips with my coworkers to help rebuild homes.  When I looked through the pictures we took, all I could see were the guys I went on the trip with…..and then me, at about twice their size.  I couldn’t ignore it anymore: I knew I needed to make a change.  Once I started, I never looked back.

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU NOW?

Besides wanting to be the best me for my beautiful wife and kids, I am motivated to teach others how to achieve the same thing I did because I know exactly where they’re coming from- I used to be there too.  When someone posts a review or comes up to me and says “Dan, you really changed my life, I couldn’t have begun this journey without you,” it makes the hard work worth it.  I am dedicated to helping others take the first step and get healthy because I know how hard it is to do it on your own.

WHEN AND WHERE WILL EACH BOOTCAMP SESSION TAKE PLACE?

Bootcamp is usually held at the same time and place for easy scheduling, but holidays can cause a change in routine.  Additionally, bootcamp isn’t always at the gym- during nice weather, we like to take “field trips” close by to shake things up a bit.  You can check out each session’s schedule here.

HOW LONG DO MOST OF YOUR PROGRAMS RUN FOR?

Online groups are active for 21-30 days depending on the particular package you sign up for.  In gym bootcamp runs for four weeks at a time, and you can choose from one day a week packages to five day a week packages.

WHAT IF I’M NOT PHYSICALLY FIT?

You’re not weird and you’re not unwelcome.  Many of my students haven’t exercised in years before signing up for a package or bootcamp session.  Not too long ago, I was extremely out of shape and unmotivated myself.  You will never be left behind or left out of a workout.  As a fitness instructor, part of my job is to know what a client can handle based on their current fitness level and experience.  I am trained in appropriate modifiers to help you handle a workout without injury.

WHAT KIND OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND SUPPORT STRUCTURE CAN I EXPECT?

Online students are granted access to the exclusive Beachbody Tracker app, which is like a less-distracting Facebook you use to check in daily with your group and communicate with me.  Joining the Akron-Canton Adventure Bootcamp means you’ll be supported by your classmates everyday you come to train, as well as our capable instructors.  Either way, you will not be doing this alone!

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

For most online programs:

If you aren’t 100% satisfied with your results, all Beachbody and Team Beachbody products can be returned within the specified Money Back Guarantee (MBG) period for a refund of the purchase price, except for shipping and handling.  This is usually a 30 day limit, but some products have longer return windows.  If you want to learn more, check out Beachbody’s official MBG documentation here.

For in-gym fitness solutions:

If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date.  However, prior cancellation is subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee.  If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp session.  This credit is nontransferable, and credit is not given toward private fitness training.   There is no cash refund.  This is not negotiable.
