After coming home from a missions trip in Mississippi following hurricane Katrina, I was hit with the realization of how big I had become physically. At 70 pounds overweight, I found myself stuck! Stuck in the busyness of life, being overwhelmed as a new dad, giving in to the habitual nature of time, and failing as a husband and leader to my family. I knew it was time for a change buy I knew nothing about working out, how to do it, where to do it, when to do it, what to do, etc. Matter of fact, the only “W” of the five “W’s” I knew was WHY. I was big, out of shape, overweight, tired and quite frankly miserable. This was not good as a new dad who had big expectations of himself. My WHY was simple. I was about to be a dad of three kids under the age of 4 and my goal was to impact them in a positive way as they grow up. THAT can only happen if I’m healthy enough to be around. Influence on others is funny like that:-).
So where did that put me? I know why but nothing else. This was my initial exposure to the whole idea of fitness solutions. I didn’t realize it then, but like in anything in life, I can look back and see the fence posts of what would eventually become my purpose and life mission. My mission is committed to helping people regain confidence in who they are through physical fitness. I want to find the perfect solution for you so you can passionately impact your friends and family. There is nothing more important to me than knowing other men and women, moms and dads, husbands and wives are out there impacting the people closest to them. That starts with YOU and physically taking care of yourself. More so than that, you want to make sure you are mentally and emotionally in a good place so that the positivity in your life trickles down to every other area of who you are. I believe confidence can be gained by getting physically fit, and that confidence leads to positive impact.
